Improvisor

Renée started her career as an improvisor in her early teens at the Loose Moose Theatre, where she trained with an incredible peer group and the world renown Keith Johnstone.

She is a senior ensemble performer at LMTC, where she recently hosted three seasons of a late night improvised comedy called Past Your Bedtime.  Renée likes to develop new formats alongside her improv buds, the latest being an improvised romantic comedy with Andrew Phung.  She has performed at festivals like Improviganza, The Prairie Bowl, The Vancouver International Improv Festival (VIIF), Sled Island & the Calgary Folk Music Festival.  She guests with some awesome improv groups like the Kinkonauts, Mix Tape Improv, Missed Connections, Wayne Jones & Colin Mochrie (touring show), and Bad Dog in Toronto.

Renée is also part of the development of an exciting new genre of theatre and improvisation, called Spontaneous Theatre.  She has toured as Mimi in Rebecca Northan's wildly successful improvised play, Blind Date.  She is also a co-creator & ensemble member of Legend Has It, another of Rebecca Northan's Spontaneous theatre projects.
